Use
The Scenario Builder is a powerful tool to create assignment scenarios, to put the right people in front of the right tasks.
The tool is based on two sources :
- The resource requests, it means tasks to do
- The people who can work to perform those tasks
How does it work ?
Prerequisite
The scenario builder operating is divided in 3 steps :
- identify potential people for each resource request

- for each resource request, the first step is to list the people who would be likely to carry out the task. We pre-select the available options, to explore the range of possibilities. The idea is not to choose immediately, but to consider the possibilities
- currently, this step is manual. It is planned in the Scenario Builder that Stafiz will make positionings proposals, suggesting 1 to 5 relevant people per resource request based on different criteria such as availability, skills, experience in the sector, etc.
In the meantime you must position the people on the needs by adding them individually. Two ways to do it:

This is where the magic happens. Once all options have been identified, Stafiz goes through all possible scenario combinations.
Criteria
The objective is to identify scenarios that will optimize the following criteria:
- margin
the margin must be as large as possible, and for this you must place people who cost as little as possible to carry out the task.
If for example the need is for 10 days of “Senior” (who normally has a salary of €300 per day), but you manage to find a Junior (with a lower salary of €150 per day) who has all the skills to complete the task, placing this Junior on the need will increase the margin by €1500 (10 days x (€300 - €150))
- over-scheduling days
the fewer days of over-scheduling, the better for the teams. For example, we can imagine that Claudia is extremely strong and knows how to do everything, and pre-position her for all resource requests. One scenario would be to confirm your placement on all tasks, because it is the most competent. But as she would be totally overstaffed, this scenario will not be retained
- scheduling rate at 3 months
this is the counterpart to the over-scheduling indicator: this indicator aims to optimize the scheduling rate over 3 months, because the more employees are staffed, the more the balance is found
